Super League Cycling Fantasy Rules

Basics of the game

Super League Cycling Fantasy managers select trade teams and riders to race in each One Day Race, Stage Race or Grand Tour in the UCI World Tour calendar. Managers score points throughout the cycling season based on the position of selected trade teams and riders in each race, as well as the winning of jerseys and other awards in Stage Race and Grand Tour stages and overall competitions. Managers must use knowledge and tactics to select the best riders and teams for each race as well as nominating super stages and bonus stages in Grand Tours to maximise point scoring opportunities on different types of stages.

The Super League Cycling Fantasy season includes the following World Tour Races:

One Day Races

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad       Strade Bianche

Milan - San Remo

Gent - Wevelgem

Please Note - Managers must select Trade Teams for the European Championships Road Race and World Championships Road Race based on the Trade Teams that individual riders belong to, rather than the national team that they represent. For example, Remco Evenepoel represents Belgium at the World Championships, although he rides for 'Quickstep - Alpha Vinyl'. Therefore, 'Quickstep - Alpha Vinyl' would scores points in the World Championships if Remco Evenepoel were to place in the race.

Replacement are substitutes used in the event that a rider abandons or is disqualified from a Grand Tour. Replacements are picked before a Grand Tour start and will automatically be subbed in to replace riders from 1st to 6th Replacement respectively, when starting riders leave a race early. A replacement rider counts as a Grand Tour selected rider in the Super League Cycling season, even if they are not used to replace an abandoned or disqualified rider.

Selecting Bonus and Super Stages

In each Grand Tour, managers must nominate a SUPER STAGE. All points awarded to the manager's Trade Team and all starting Riders on the Grand Tour roster  will be TRIPLED for the nominated Super Stage.

Managers must also nominate BONUS STAGES for each individual Rider and Trade Team. All points awarded to a Trade Team or Rider on their nominated Bonus Stage will be DOUBLED. Bonus Stages can not be the same as the nominated Super Stage for the Grand Tour. For example, if a manager selected Stage 10 - Individual Time Trial as the Super Stage for the 'Giro D'Italia', then the manager could not select Stage 10 as the Bonus Stage for a Trade Team or Rider.

Choosing bonus stages and a super stage requires some knowledge and understanding of rider strengths and stage profile such as flat, hilly or mountainous, in order to accurately predict the likely point scoring opportunities for Trade Teams and Riders.

Race Entry Deadlines

Managers must make their selections for each race before 6PM (AEST) on the 'Entry Deadline' date stated on the pick sheet. If no selections have been entered by the race entry deadline, the manager will score NO points for the respective race.
